Andrew Robertson (footballer)
Andrew "Andy" Robertson (born 11 March 1994) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Championship club Hull City and the Scotland national team. Robertson began his senior career with Queen's Park in 2012 before joining Dundee United a year later. His form in his first season as a professional led to him being named SPFA Young Player of the Year and also making his international debut. He joined Hull in July 2014 for a fee of £2.85 million.
==Early life and career==
Robertson was born in Glasgow and started his career at Giffnock SC. He played for Celtic as a youth but was let go at under-15 level for being too small. He captained his high school team – St Ninian's High School in Giffnock – throughout his last year at school, taking them to the semi-final of the Schools Scottish Cup, where he received a red card in the final minutes of the game and from there moved to Queen's Park.
